2021 Promoting International Environmental Protection Collaboration

The goal of the project is to assist Taiwan EPA in promoting international collaboration in the area of environmental protection and to strengthen exchanges between partner countries and Taiwan. The tasks of the project have been categorized into 4 main focal points, research and analyze environmental related information in the international community, organize and implement international activities, design and produce media material to share Taiwan’s environmental accomplishment, and provide administrative support. With regards to research and analysis, the project team collected major recent environmental news in key countries, researched US and Israel’s recent environmental progress, and analyzed crucial environmental topics discussed in international organization, conventions, and accords, such as World Trade Organization, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, and Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership. As for international activity implementation, the team held the 10th Taiwan-Japan Environmental Conference on Sept. 30, the International Environmental Protection Workshop on Aug. 26, and two expert panel session, and accompanied Taiwan EPA Deputy Minister Tsai to attend an international conference in the US. About the media material, the team designed and produce 5 sets of promotional cards, Taiwan EPA introduction PowerPoints slide, brochures, and videos, and updated International Environmental Partnership (IEP) website news section. In regards to administrative support, the team helped check and translate Global Environmental Education Partnership (GEEP) project financial report, assisted Taiwan EPA host international guests, provide interpretation service, meeting snacks and gifts.
